Manaslu
Conservation Area (1,663 sq km)
The Manaslu area in Gorkha district
is a classic setting to experience pristine mountain nature and culture. The
conservation area starts at 600 meters and is crowned by the eithth highest
peak in the workd Mt. Manasly at 8,163 meters. The region is home to 29 species
of mammals including snow leopard, musk deer and Himalayan Tahr. There are over
20 species of birds and three species of reptiles and over 200 species of
pants.
